With over eight years of experience in community development and four years in land use planning, my background includes:
Land Use Planning:
I began my planning career as a planning consultant at Arcadis (formerly IBI Group), and now currently working as a Zoning Examiner. I enjoy site design, project management, team collaboration, and community engagement. Additionally, I serve as an evaluator for the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation’s National Housing Supply Challenge program and as a member of the City of Hamilton’s Climate Change Advisory Committee.
Community Development & Engagement
Leadership Experience: I have over four years of progressive experience as Secretary and Board Member for the Social Planning and Research Council of Hamilton (SPRC). In this role, I contribute to strategic planning, governance, and financial oversight, supporting the organization’s impact in Hamilton.
Child and Youth Work Experience & Advocacy: I have four years of experience working with marginalized youth in Hamilton, addressing issues such as housing and homelessness, poverty, mental health, and domestic abuse.
Healthcare & Mentorship
I bring a diverse perspective from my experience working as a healthcare coordinator and academic tutor.

These interests drive my mission to enhance the quality of life for all through community engagement, advocacy work, and responsible land use planning. I am committed to building vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable cities while addressing socio-economic and health challenges.
Current Pursuits
Recently, I transitioned from my role as a planning consultant at Arcadis IBI Group to freelancing in graphic design. This shift allows me to explore my creative interests while focusing on continuing education and professional development in land use planning and community development, aligning with my career goals.
I am working towards obtaining my Project Management Professional (PMP) and Registered Professional Planner (RPP) designation.
